Secure and trustworthy GNSS signals are essential to the way modern devices operate. Connected devices depend on positioning and location services that cannot be disrupted. Yet threats like spoofing and jamming compromise the reliability of navigation systems and impact safety critical operations, challenging the integrity of global navigational services. Europe, in particular, relies on Galileo for reliable positioning, and the ability to authenticate these signals has become a vital safeguard against these risks.

With Galileo’s Open Service Navigation Message Authentication (OSNMA) transitioning from testing to a fully declared operational service, the GNSS ecosystem is entering a new phase of trusted, authenticated and secured positioning. This advancement strengthens protection against spoofing and interference while enabling secure-by-design applications across IoT devices, wearables, and battery-powered technologies.

On 25 February 2026, (EUSPA) will host the Galileo OSNMA Info Day in Madrid, bringing together technology providers, developers, and industry leaders to explore latest Galileo OSNMA service updates, real-world secure GNSS implementation and new opportunities enabled by authenticated Galileo signals.

At the event, Qualinx team experts will present QLX3Gx, our market-ready multi-band, multi-constellation GNSS receiver designed to deliver:

- Ultra-low power consumption for battery sensitive devices

- Reconfigurable technology for flexible product integration

- High – integrity, authenticated positioning enabled by Galileo OSNMA

QLX3Gx unlocks new applications and possibilities and allows manufacturers to integrate secure and energy efficient GNSS without compromising performance, size or product lifetime.
